About the Lexington Christian Homeschool Support Group

The purpose of the Lexington Christian Homeschool Support Group is to bring
encouragement and support to homeschooling families in the Lexington, Ky. area, as
well as to provide information to those interested in homeschooling or just beginning
their homeschool journey.

We are blessed in Central Kentucky with an abundance of educational and enrichment
opportunities for homeschoolers. So many, in fact, that it can become overwhelming
to those of us who've long been in the homeschooling community, let alone one just
beginning to research homeschooling. This website is an attempt to bring much of that
information together in one place and hopefully make it easier to choose what
activities/offerings are right for your specific family's needs.

We are not affiliated with any homeschool co-op, (though we are special friends with
BRICC simply because the leadership of LCH and the leadership of BRICC are
special friends brought together many years ago through homeschooling;)).

As we are able, we will plan to spread the news about homeschooling in our
community as we believe the opportunity to homeschool is a blessing that should be
shared. Occasionally we will plan a special event or field trip for homeschoolers in the
area, simply because we love to fellowship with other homeschoolers and the
Bluegrass has some of the nicest in the country!

There are no membership forms or joining fees. If you are a home educating
family, you are welcome to enjoy the website and attend any or all of the special
events.* Members of the homeschooling community are also invited to contribute to
this support group by planning a field trip or event, writing a blog, submitting
information, etc. Also, if you have a suggestion, word of encouragement, or even a

We do maintain an email list for those who'd like to receive information about LCH
sponsored field trips and events. If you'd like to be included in this list, please click

*Though we are a Christian entity (because we do not know any other way to be), we are an
inclusive support group, welcoming those from all walks of life. We simply ask that everyone be
respectful of our Lord Jesus Christ while attending any LCH function or in any submission to
the LCH website.
